Ah, pancakes. Just the smell of the hot griddle makes me drool! Syrupy sweet, fluffy, buttery, pats of dough a golden brown.. *sigh* When I was little, my Grandma would only make pancakes on Saturdays, even if we arrived earlier in the week.
