Today is national Play in the Sand day.
Lots of fun playing in the sand yesterday at the Children’s Museum. Guess we were a day off!
I also think of the word ‘sandbox’ and how it is used as a brainstorming place. Ideas are dumped, molded, destroyed, weighed, measured, poured, and sifted through, just like the sand. My sandbox is on Post-it notes or on a website called ficly.com.
My latest published work is a book of my sandbox stories. If I had thought about this sandbox idea, I’d probably have titled it that. Instead it’s called “Variety of Shorts”. I’m going through the proof copy now with a fine-toothed comb. Sometimes you don’t see errors until they are in print!
Sorry no sand poetry today, maybe YOU can rectify this! Leave me a sand related poem in the comments!

I have always loved to go to Children’s Museums, even though I’m 16 and should really be finding something better to do with my time. It’s just so fun!
I post all my museum pics, well the good ones, on http://wellintentionedindecision.blogspot.com/2010/08/where-can-you-find-michael-jackson-and.html
